November is Feline Hypertension Awareness Month

We will be offering blood pressure checks with our qualified veterinary nurses in November for senior cats over the age of 7

1 in 5 cats over the age of 9 suffers from hypertension

This increases to 1 in 3 cats over the age of 11 years

Feline hypertension is a common condition in older cats and can result in serious welfare complications, including cardiac changes, neurological signs and blindness if left undetected.

Our nurses will be working alongside our veterinarians, and referring any signs of hypertension with our feline patients for further vet assessments.

Over the month of November, Selwood House Vets will be offering blood pressure testing with our nurses for cats over the age of 7 at a 50% discount.
